Chen Qu, a designer in Tianjin Binhai, has served as a special guest on Binhai Voice (Radio)'s "Home Furnishing Master Show" and won the 2020 "Sina Home" Tianjin Interior Design Competition Emerging Designer Space Optimization Award.
In 2020, he was selected into the annual selection of China’s New Design Youth in the same year and became one of the top 100 designers who won the final award in 2020.
In this selection, Chen Qu was shortlisted for the competition with his work "Life Revolution Fitness Club". This project is located in a prime location on Second Street in the development zone. The club is composed of several overseas students who love fitness. Created by youth. This case is defined as a non-traditional fitness venue, with aerobic exercise and body coordination as the main course content. The main consumer group is urban white-collar workers aged 25-40.

The front desk is an important part of the entire design project and the key to the "image project". The front desk of Life Revolution Fitness Club contrasts with the theme wall of cement bricks and wood veneer. Line lights are interspersed throughout the front hall and rest area space, bringing a fragmented and integrated visual experience.
Not only is there temperature, there is also height. Warm colors, combined with moderate light and dark luminosity, make the entire layout just right. The bronze-based floor introduces a modern yet rugged industrial style, deepening the impression of bright and tough lines in the space and adding a sense of stability to the environment.
Highlighting the theme of healthy green, different from the expression of speed and strength in conventional gyms, the leisure area continues a relatively soft tone in terms of materials and colors. It has an extra sense of coziness and comfort, with the same wood-grain floor and wood-grain background wall, paired with a bar counter and sofa, allowing bodybuilders to relax and rest after a sweaty workout.
To improve the natural aerobic feeling of the space, the sports area uses a grass-green simulated lawn floor with line lights to bring out the oxygen amount and color saturation of the space. Not only that, the exercise area also has multiple floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing fitness practitioners to feel the vastness of the outside world and the fresh air through the windows during exercise.
The gym’s bathroom standards must not only be clean, but also simple and bright. The bathroom blends in with the style of the entire gym, and is designed in an industrial style with the same color scheme. The original site of this case does not provide floor heating and gas, and it is commercial electricity. Energy saving is the main focus of the equipment. Therefore, an air source heat pump triple supply was chosen, which can meet the needs of hot water for bathing, heating, and air conditioning at the same time.
